I
most enjoy journaling first thing in the morning before I’ve had any
interruption, stimulation or input from the day that may create judgment of
thought – like listening to the morning news or reading the headlines on the
morning paper.
Some mornings I’ll want to journal on something that might be bothering
me.
Other mornings I may use a series of questions I’ve developed and will
want to address those questions as part of my journaling.
And, then there are the mornings of just plain data dump of my brain –
it doesn’t seem like valuable writing, until suddenly in the middle of it
comes a nugget of gold that shines through all the muck of life.
There are times too, that I get my 15 minutes completed and there is
nothing to be excited about, until later in the day when a serendipitous
experience occurs.
